ARKANSAS
FIRE MARSHAL'S
ASSOCIATION
As the President of the Association, I would like to extend our welcome to you and introduce you to our association. The purpose of this website is to provide information and to give you a window into the fire prevention efforts in Arkansas to both members and non-members. It also serves as a tool to distribute information on current issues facing the fire prevention officers in our state. I encourage all fire marshals, fire inspectors, firefighters, fire chiefs, and other fire and/or building officials to become active members in your Arkansas Fire Marshal’s Association.
For visitors who are not fire marshals, fire inspectors, firefighters, fire chiefs or fire officials, we hope that this visit increases your knowledge of fire protection and life safety. You are invited to visit often for news and information, and consider becoming an associate member of the Association. A membership application is available on one of the links from this page.
For fire marshals, fire inspectors, firefighters, fire officers, and fire protection contractors, our association has a Google Group for the discussion of fire codes issues. This forum is free to all who are in fire prevention / protection industries and work in the State of Arkansas.
On another note, we are proud to announce that we have achieved designation as a 501-C-3 non profit organization as of 2017. Also, in 2017 the AFMA also became a chapter of the International Code Council. The chapter designation makes it very simple for those in need of continuing education hours to obtain approved ICC CEU's.
Year after year Arkansas is in the top ten in fire deaths per capita. Our organization finds this unacceptable and continues to make strides to reduce this epidemic through education, enforcement, and investigations.
If there is anything thing that this association or I can do to assist you please let us know.
Respectfully,
Jason Wills
President AFMA
